About
Why PCS exists.
PCS began with a simple observation: most software asks people to do more. Very little of it helps them carry less.
The name is the Personal Compass System. A compass does not tell you where to go. It tells you where you are and which way you are facing, and leaves the choosing to you. That is the role PCS wants in someone's life.
It was built for everyday people — not for power users, not for optimizers. For someone managing a household, a health change, a first apartment, a hard season, a long-held hope. The kind of life that does not fit neatly into a to-do list.
PCS is made by 9th Island Digital Lab, alongside Wayfinder Email, as part of a small family of tools built around the same idea: technology should feel like relief.
What we hold to
Calm by design
Less on screen, less in your head. Space is a feature.
Progressive guidance
You are shown what you need when you need it, never everything at once.
Permission first
Nothing in your life changes unless you say yes.
One life, one place
Your days, your money, your food, your health, your changes — connected, not scattered.
No gamification
No points, levels, or badges. Consistency is the only thing worth celebrating.
Begin again
A missed day never erases what you have built.
